"Are you talkin' to me?"

Registered Name: Sams Hot Kitten
Alias: De Niro
He’s named for the handsome, (albeit distinguished) good looks he shares with the actor Robert De Niro. He is a super sweet gelding, off the track. De Niro is always in your pocket and loves to be handled. De Niro has the personality to make an excellent junior mount!

"Are you talkin' to me?"

De Niro would be a difficult horse to place due to the bone growth on his face. The bump formed after an injury he sustained years ago. As it healed improperly, the bone continued to grow and remodel thus becoming a protrusion.

The Fawor Foundation is raising money to get the bump surgically removed. The surgery is going to cost $2000. If we can get 100 people to donate just $20 dollars each we’ll have his surgical appointment in no time! Although it’s mostly cosmetic, the location of the bump is the issue.  It becomes a problem with nearly any halter and cavesson. De Niro’s bump may be distinguished and endearing, but he’s definitely better off without it! If you want to see De Niro’s beautiful face sans the bump please donate twenty bucks! You can donate super quick!

CR Sam Terrific

"Sam" is a super sweet 1995 gelding. Sam has "been there, done that." He is a retired race horse. He has also been ridden all over National Forests and is currently participating in a Youth Riding Program. Sam's story is not unlike many other nice horses; his former owner surrendered him due to lack of time. Sam is sound, healthy and an easy keeper. Sam is available for sponsorship, and adoption to the perfect forever home.

                                                    Sam kicking it up!

For more information about Sam, please visit our website.

If you're not ready to adopt, sponsorship is a wonderful way to 'get to know' Sam.

Thanks!

Special thanks to all those who attended and sponsored the Fawor Foundation’s wine tasting fundraiser! Our fun filled day included equine wellness education, delicious food and wine, silent auction and a meet and greet with some very special foundation horses.

The indoor arena was converted into culinary and wine tasting destination!

Amy and Nancy of Tallgrass Animal Acupressure Institute speaking about the application and benefits of equine acupressure.

Buddy enjoying the chiropractic demo with Dr. Debbie O'Reilly.

Equine Sports Massage Therapist Cath Axelrod with Rimmi.

This was a wonderful way to meet the horses and get first hand knowledge about the types of therapies and equipment that will be available in the future Equine Wellness Center.

We hope to see many of you again at future events and out at the farm! We always love new volunteers and have plenty of nice second-career ready Arabians in need of sponsorships and homes.

Happy Trails!
