Senior Spotlight! - Classy

At the Fawor Foundation we love our senior Arabians! Classy recently celebrated his twenty-sixth birthday! He is a former Westernaires / trick horse who is now enjoying retirement at the foundation. When Classy isn’t munching on grass, he’s teaching a new generation of horse-kids how to ride. Classy believes he is the boss of the barn and likes to let everybody know! At 26 Classy is great for the kids and an absolute Cadillac for any experienced rider!

The Fawor Foundation believes not only in helping second career Arabians, but also in providing comfortable retirements for faithful friends.

We also believe in education regarding Equine Wellness for all breeds, which we know the 'Bootleggers' are interested in!

Besides the individual horses in the program, the Fawor Foundation helps support the network of Arabians Horses who are in need of financial assistance, second careers, comfortable retirements or just necessary care.

Continue to check the blog for news on horses in the program, ‘Second Career Stars,’ and general equine wellness! Don't forget to visit our webpage and facebook page! We love to hear from others interested in helping Arabians and Equine Wellness so please drop us a line at info@faworfoundation.org

AF Rimmi

2005 Arabian Mare

‘Rimmi’ is a beautiful five year old mare off the race track. She is tall, elegant and looks great in English or Western tack! She is awesome under saddle and super confident on the trail. Rimmi will go out alone or in groups. She has a blemish on her right front cannon bone that does not affect her soundness. She raced with the bump and it didn’t affect her career. She was retired from the track due to owner situation and is looking forward to her next career! Rimmi is a favorite among volunteers and loved by everyone! Rimmi, like many of our other horses embodies what the Fawor Foundation is all about, second careers and second chances for amazing Arabians (even if they have ugly bumps!)

One Last Fawor

One Last Fawor (pronounced fay-vor,) like many well bred, well trained Arabians was in need of a new home. Fawor’s former owner, after having a death in the family was unable to find him the perfect home. She approached Joanne Pavlis, President and founder, and asked if she would take him, knowing Joanne would take the time to find the right match. Joanne took Fawor in and the rest is history!

Because he needed ‘One Last Fawor’ Joanne started the foundation to give Arabians in need, the retraining, rehabilitation and sometimes just the roof over their heads (or the pasture under their hooves) they need until they can be placed in excellent forever homes.

Although a little out of shape from sitting around, Fawor came to the barn well mannered and well trained. He spent a few months with Jo and soon became a barn favorite. He has since been adopted and has a wonderful home with a little girl that has a different color bow for him every day of the week!

The ultimate goal of the foundation is to build an Equine Wellness Center for horses of all breeds and disciplines.
